Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. Her most famous role was as Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Leading Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. Her other appearances are Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio with her family in early 1970s. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre as well as the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for several years, before taking on film and television role. In 1992 Anna got her first major role as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a Star in several TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's She was then chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood were also part of her career. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also appeared in a series of audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The story of Breaking Bad is driven by the relationship that exists between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their difficult relationship. The deterioration of this relationship is in line with Walter White's last days.
